AB0503 -- Venetian Sallet Helmet w/Visor and Bevor, 14G, Medium
The sallet or salade was popular across much of Europe throughout the second half of the 15th century. This reconstruction of a Venetian piece features a moveable visor (introduced late in the period to improve visibility), a reinforcing brow plate and a bevor for protection of the jaw and throat. Both the helm and the moveable visor are crafted in 14 gauge steel and the Sallet is fully wearable with an adjustable leather liner and chinstrap. Excellent head protection for the weapons-contact re-enactor.
